Somewhat the same deal here. I have a dress SJ watch that is supposed to be a 20mm at the lugs. I can put most of my 22mm straps on it just fine. Again, I said most. The 20mm on this watch look like your picture. With a 22mm it look perfect. My guess is, it's most likely a euro type 21mm at the lugs.
