November of 2005. That is when I got back from Disney right after Hurricane Wilma with a fogged Zippo watch and was angry with the jeweler who botched my battery change and didn't replace the gasket. I was determined to find an inexpensive mechanical to avoid future battery changes. I found Russian Vostok watches on the 'Bay, then WUS Russian forum, then PMWF and WUS affordables and now I am here! I have loved watches since I was a kid, but so much other stuff got in the way first, my band/musical instruments, hi-fi gear, then grad school, marriage, kids, then Zippos... Cheers, Griff
