Afther almost a week owning this Tag caliber 60, I guess it is my due to share my experience with you guys. cool10.gif Quick specs: 42mm case diameter, sapphire crystal AR coated one side only, ~16mm thick, HRV at 9 o'clock, 500M WR, all brushed 316 SS, Tag caliber 60 developed for Tag exclusively by ETA (ETA 2073 based me think), all superluminova lumes, weigh over 200g unsized bracelet, special turning bezel and screw down crown with yellow safety indicator. My impression at first was, wow this thing is a tank, solidly built, military chrono diver look with quite unique movement. However my WOW factor is not through the roof. Many may have thought that this is only chrono with large minute chrono hand, it is not. Breguet also developed one even with second and minute hands flyback function. I do not remeber the model number at the moment, but seen one at my local AD  However, this thing starts to grow on me. I really like the special turning bezel, where you really need to push down in order to turn it, the military look and brushed SS, which does give special 3 dimensional when look at it from different angel. Even thought it uses 3 links SS bracelet style (there are a lot out there), the center link is beefed up to add a liitle flare. The black dial with two tone black subdials and yellow chrono hands really adds it up. What I do not like are crown bite and excessive lume around the outer bezel. Excessive lume on outer bezel makes this watch not an ideal for diving. I rather want to make a quick glance and know my decompression time. It would be nice to only put bigger dot on outer bezel at 3, 6, 9 and 12 o' clock position. Here are my shots  ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last but not least, muchas gracias to our dear Gregger for hooking me up with AD in NYC, Cheers ;) Last edited on Sun Apr 15th, 2007 10:19 pm by b2s |
