Hard to keep those air cooled engines running in the AZ desert in August! $500 was a whole months pay for a 1LT back then.

That included my quarter's allowance and subsistance pay, while you were being provided with luxury living accomodaions and sumptuous gourmet meals......Living like a king!:dude:
