 I thought I read somewhere (PMWF perhaps) that a new 7Sxx Seiko movement will fit in the 6309.  I know, heresy! :shock:  But it could serve until you get the 6309 movement repaired.  Duarte at NEWW regulated my 6309 to +1 per day when he bead blasted the case but he doesn't repair movements, just regulates them.

Also, you could snag a whole 6309 watch from the Watchworks on the 'Bay, I got mine from him and it was fully serviced and in decent condition, $120 shipped.  You could then transplant the movement to yours.

I had contacted IWW to send my 6105 and when I heard of the 6 month wait I sent it to Bob Thayer in Texas.  I heard some good things about him and he is very responsive.  Also there is Randall Benson (who never replied to my inquiry) and Ken Setzer.

Too bad there aren't more vintage Seiko specialists, they could make a killing on us WIS!  Hmmmmm, maybe I should start with the TZ courses, I am used to working on tiny stuff (microelectronics)...
