I have done quite a bit of reading about their history, and spoken with some people that absolutely love the Fortis brand. But I still haven't found any direct information regarding technology in their current line. For example, I have a Hamilton X-wind with a V7750, heavy solid bracelet, excellent dial and case detailing, bezel, display back, and can be bought for $500-700. Hamilton also has a long history, providing watches for troops etc, but this has very little influence on today's Hamilton watches besides styling and name choice. I'm trying to figure out if Fortis is riding shoulders of their history, or if they are continuing to innovate and improve?
Again, not trying to degrade Fortis, just want to uderstand the brand and the products.
p.s. despite my inquiry about Fortis, I'm on the cusp of buying a B-42 Marinemaster. I guess I'll find out through hands on experience.
