well, if we're sharing humble opinions I think Status collectors aren't really watch collctors they're status collectors. However I think watch collectors do collect watches of status(all of them?) I break collectors down into 2 groups myself. Those appreciate asthetics and those who appreciate the micromechanics. naturally they cross over and I'm sure many appreciate both. I appreciate a good looking well designed watch but if it's quartz it holds no intrest for me. I do however encourage those that do collect quartz to continue hoping they'll grow into mechanical watches. of course this is all humble opinions:D
