I am not claiming to be an expert on the Mark's, but I would look into getting a like new used Mark II. I have friends that do know allot about them and they always prefer the Mark II's over the Mark III's. I wish I could tell you why they are more reliable, but after asking if I should upgrade to the III they told me not to even think about it.Thank you for the tip, I appreciate it!

I wanted a Mark II almost 20 years ago after I fired a box of .22's through a friend's and spent the money on some other darn thing and regretted it ever since. I should have bought it then, plus I wouldn't have the resistance from my wife over the idea of a pistol in the house (she grew up with them, father-in-law is 37 year National Guardsman...go figure)
