The bezel moves smoothly, no clicks, and stays in place without loosening - you can use the 1-12 markings on the bezel for the 2nd time zone by rotating it as u indicated. It also has a 24hr subdial, but it is slaved to the hour hand.

On the 1049? How do you rotate the 2nd time zone? Some watches have a extra knob to turn it. I don't see one here though.
I'm guessing you grab hold of the scalloped bezel and turn it. Does it "click" or is it simply friction? Does it seem like using the 2nd timezone will loosen the bezel?
Thanks
