Wabi (to me) is the total patina a working tool gathers during its life. It can include everythign from dings, scratches & swirls to aging of lume (even flaking, but that is not nearly as universally loved). On a strap, it can include staining, sandpapering, etc. Some people actually aritificially age their watches & straps (just like furniture). b
