Question you must ask: are you doing a homage to a tool watch that has seen lots of life? or are you doing a homage to a safe queen? The answer to that will tell you if you want "wabi" on your watch & strap or not. Quesion: take a new "homage" watch. put it on a beat up strap and what do you have? a shiny homage watch on a beat up strap. to make the whole piece "harmonious"--age the strap (beat up is what I called it above) & then make the watch look old as well... sandpaper, a few gouges, use vintage lume, whatever you like. just my opinion of course... brent
