Don't get me wrong I thought it was a nice enough looking watch to merit checking out the specs and the price.  The pieces I saw are marked designed in Germany, I didn't see any markings as to location of manufacture . You are right though Timex products are usually quite clearly marked as to origin in their actual packaging. Its an image thing I suppose . For years Timex has been at the bottom of the watch market. Below Swatch and Armitron in price points.  It is just reminds me of  Volkswagen's failures at marketing the Phaeton. it was an impressive car to drive  but as long as it was known and badged as a Volkswagen it was not going to move BMW and Mercedes buyers to purchase one certainly not in the $70K plus range.  It is just hard to swallow thats all.  None of those brands are watch brands though they are clothing brands and design brands looking to spread into other accesories. I think that's very different than buying up a dozen watch brands .
