It all depends on the watch and the market for it. I have all 3. Swiss mechs have the movement snob appeal for lack of better term, japan mechs are every bit as good but oddly thought of as less luxurious? Seiko has many watches every bit as pricey as ETA equiped autos but aren't a luxury brand. I also like quartz for style fashion convenience. I voted for the Japan mech as best combo of value, mechanical appeal and durability. Now if only most of them would hand wind and hack
