Costco is a big gray market dealer. I have seen several Patek and other high end pieces on their web site. Right now I have had my eye (much to the wife's horror) on a Chopard Flyback Chrono at my local Costco for $3,099.00. I asked them about the warranty as I knew that they could not be a certified AD and was told that they have their own jewelry site that has a watchmaker on site to warrant the watches.

Just a standard attempt of a manufacturer trying to control the marketplace.

Quite true, and other's, like TJ MAXX, negotiate seperate contracts with the manufacturers for factory service!
