Oh the Colt is not going anyplace. It was my grandfathers. :)
I understand completely, but just in case Buddy, just in case:). If you ever need some work on it I have a guy that specialises in 1911s. He was trained by Armand Swenson back in the 80s. I have 2 1911s built by this guy and my Gvt. model is the best shooting pistol I've ever had. He even has some vintage parts that he hoards for just that one old pistol that comes in from time to time.
