You don't even have to miss a payment. These days us folks who carry a balance can still see raised interest rates. Or a decrease in the credit given. Which is what happened to me. The thing that makes no sense is that I have less debt (by a whole bunch) then when they increased my credit line. Very strange. I'm generally not a guy for Government interference but these days they have acted criminally,imo. Don't ever close an account without paying it off first. That was a expensive lesson for me. Good thing I had enough money to pay it off when I saw the 30+% they raised me. Those stupid disclosure forms they send out need to be revised as well. They could accomplish more info in just a few sentences. I can't stand Credit card companies. Here's looking to get out of all my credit card debt by 2009.
