As some of you probably know that ETA has launched its updated Valjoux 7750
sibling known as the Valgranges A07211. This is a massive 16.5 line or 37.22 mm
movement designed for watches with cases from 45mm and above.

What this means is that when this movement is placed inside the watch case, there
is no need for spacers. The movement is extremely robust just like the Valjoux 7750.

However, for independent watch manufacturers that want to customize a watch movement. The Valgranges gives you enough space to put in a Swan Regulator with
ease. Not so easy with the Valjoux 7750 due to the 13.25 line or 29 mm.

For those not inclined in horology. The Valgranges A07211 chronograph movement
is identical in size to a movement found in pocket watches!

The most important aspect of this movement is the power reserve.
It has 46 hour power reserve compared to the Valjoux 7750 which has a standard
42 hour power reserve.

When the Valjoux 7750 chronograph is triggered the watch drops down to
38 hour power reserve down from 42. With the Valgranges A07211 the power remains constant.

Certainly as the trend towards Statement Watches (44 mm - 50 mm) these are
aimed at collectors. We'll be seeing more and more watches with Valgranges Movements in the next few years.

Servicing:

Some or many of the parts are interchangeable between the Valjoux 7750 and the
Valgranges A07211. This needs to be confirmed.

I believe a few of the parts are interchangeable between the 2.  The mechanical advantage that was achieved through the modification of the chrono function is a vast improvement.  The increase in space, the pricing structure, and supply will all be welcomed by the custom houses and offer them an opportunity to set themselves apart from the pack, I would believe.

I would be expecting many more new evolutions to there movements in the near feature.

Thanks for the info

I didn't copy the information. I was trying to sell a Longines Master Chronograph
in the store that I am currently working part-time. I've still have my full-time morning job for the time being.
