Got this off the bay.  Needs some tlc and was wondering who works on these.  I talked to my repair guy and he said all he can do is send it to Bulova.  If they cant fix it they put in a quarts movement... dont want that.  Thanks.

I had great experience with Martin Marcus, but he only does the cal. 214. Since it is a 218 I am not sure.

Good luck!

Stan Kalista at Bassar does all my work now and I highly reccomend him. He is in Washington State. As you may know, I own 16 tuning fork watches.

Just remember the battery goes +positive side down.
I had a bad experience getting my battery replaced by a reputable dealer who installed it incorrectly and told me my watch must be broken and they would send it out for me to their service man because Bulova no longer services this type watch. Well the Professional Watch fella reports back that HE can't fix it.
Turns out everyone was installing the battery -negative side down, like many watches but not this model.
So just in case, check the correct polarity position of the battery.hand6.gif

Bassar, that is one of the ones I have seen looking for Accutron service.  I could also recommend Bob Piker at mybob.net, I got my RR Approved from him.

Cheers,
Griff
