Just checked it out on TZ .....

http://www.timefactors.com/precista.htm

It is down the page a little bit, this one looks different then the pic Tony posted....looks like they are selling it for 335 pounds, a little over $500.....

Are there two versions of it...I really like it

Eddie e-mailed back and said this watch would be a regular in his stable of watches as long as it was popular (forever imo) and that it will be not an LE....no deposits will be taken as he has never taken any before and once the watch is near completion we will all know as well as the specs ....Eddie has always been a great WIS to deal with and I can't wait until this watch is ready FS! perfect.gif

I really wish I didn't open this thread, now I am going to have to get one damn it :D
I have somehow held off with both the MKII and previous Precista, but I am weakening...

Cheers,
Griff

Arrrgh!  Both of them... :D

I have been considering another watch, but the price was a bit high IMHO, and if the Precista is under $600 that pretty much decides it.

Watch = 335GBP = $508.27

Shipping @ 16GBP = $24.28

Bring it home at $532.55

I don't recall exactly, but I paid almost that much pre-owned!  SO FEEL FREE TO ORDER TODAY! subtlelaugh.gif

So Nice.....Wifey will kill me if I grab another watch.

She already thinks that my D.freemont Barcelona is a different watch and has given me a few looks of disgust...so much for buying her a Rollie for Christmas.

Shady...here's what you do...

WIFE:  Is that a new watch?

SHADY:  No, I've had this for ages.  I just put a new strap on it for a different look!

Hey Gumba,

Are you on a mailing list for this? What is the deal on getting one? Looks like from Eddies forum that there will be a great demand for one. Can we get a jump on it somehow?

Eddie told me this watch will be in his stable as long as it is popular and that he is not doing a pre-order....so there will always be availability imho....1st run though??? ...I will e-mail him but my guess would be 1st come 1st serve so maybe we better start monitoring the site more often for when it goes up FS hand6.gif

I may email him about it. I also plan to have this one I scored service sometime before the year is out maybe. It is running slow and having been modded might be a good idea for a real good checkup. And while at it get setup to maybe score one of the new ones down the road too. ;)

Yep! And I ordered mine immediately!   I wonder how many he has this time?

I've already gotten a "dispatch" that it is ON ITS WAY!!

I have to say: I've looked and looked at the original PR-50, and the MK II series, and finally came to believe that THIS one looks like nothing I already have.  That domed crystal is a beauty!  And the NOS movement, for me, is a plus, also.

I've got an Omega Mesh waiting for it!!

I have looked and looked and looked at this watch...and while I find it very attractive, I can see absolutely no difference between it and the original other than a reworkd dial, a dome crystal and a new bezel insert.  I could be wrong!

there are many versions by year of the vintage Blancpain Fifty Fathoms...below are 2 links that can help identify them and Eddie has done a great job recreating two of them in homage imho...so although they may look similar they are different ..I prefer the latest model by Eddiehand6.gif

I do like this version very much (and I really like the NOS AS movement) and will probably end up with one, but I still only see the differences mentioned....from Eddie's site  description of the 50-B...

"The manufacturing drawing for the case and movement detail is identical to the PRS-50 shown further down this page, the only differences are the detail for the domed acrylic crystal on this version. "
