Spoke to the fella who services my watches for me and he said on aug 5th that the Ball watch rep will be at his store to see if he can get set up as a dealer.  He is supposed to be there at 9 am with some watches to show.  So he invited me to be there to check them out. yourock.gif I have never seen a Ball in person. Cant wait!  I just hope they dont have to jump through too many hoops to become a dealer.  They are a Rolex AD so its not like they are a cheap store.   We'll just have to wait and see.ThumbsUp02.gif

Sure will.  The watch guy at the store is pretty cool.  He likes to see what watch I will end up with next.  He is a wis also.  He has a few Rolexes of his own. He even let me try on a Deep Sea Sea Dweller knowing full well I couldnt afford to buy one.... yet.:D  That was the first time I even touched a Rolex.  One of these days I will own one of my own.

Congratulations Scott, I know that you've said you have been eyeing a Ball for a while now.  I hope all goes well and you're able to be wearing a new Ball watch soon, cheers. woohoo.gif

Under the new ownership and management at Ball, the watches have been thrust into a better positioning, imaging and quality position. Ball has a very rich heritage and it's always a good feeling to have one on the wrist. I had a Ball Trainmaster about 4 years ago, an entry model one, but had to flip it when a buddy of mine kept pestering me to sell to him. It was accurate, understated with it's supple brown strap and as is always the case with a Ball, fantastic lume.

I hope that dealer-friend of yours makes the grade and gets appointed AD in your area. Oscar's right: it would be to Ball's advantage to have more dealers.;)

I guess you should start saving up, Scotsubtlelaugh.gif

Jeff Hess/North American Pres. of Ball Watch is an old friend / WIS from years ago when we all posted on the same forums and he co-hosted with Tim Temple on some popular watch shows...very knowledgeble in watches and business imho so seeing how your AD is a Rolex AD and Jeff wrote probably the best Rolex book to date I would think he has a better than average shot at landing a dealership with Ball...I have never heard a bad word about Ball...here is Jeffs store in Tampa hand6.gifhand6.gif

If they do get the dealership, I hope it goes well.  I kinda talked him into checking into them in the first place. So, I hope he sells lots of watches.   Well, if anything I plan on buying a few.:D   Thanks for the info Oscar.hand6.gif

Ball watches are top notch. The quality is on a par with brands several jumps up. I love my Fireman and would love to get another Ball. After all, every guy should have a pair of balls.toon1.gif

Scott, I have a buddy with the Aviator GMT and one of the Engineer Master II chrono divers. Both are sweeeeeet!!woohoo.gif

Just got back from the meeting with the Ball rep.  All I can say is WOW! ThumbsUp02.gif I was a little worried about the size but, the wear larger than they are.  If my friend does decide to sell them, I think the Aviator GMT will be first on my list. perfect.gif That is a sweet watch.  I also added a new one to my wish list, the Mad Cow.  From pics I saw, I wasnt too crazy about it but, seeing it in person changed my mind.  Also got to check out a Night Train.  Very nice also. hand6.gif You could feel the quality in the watches.  It sounds like they will become a dealer.  When I was leaving the store my fried said he would be sure to have the ones I want in stock.  woohoo.gif

I am learning that you cannot really judge a watch by the way it looks in a picture. You really have to wear it.

This weekend was a revelation to me - When I saw a smaller watch looks just fine, and the proportion between strap and wrist is far more important than I ever imagined. I wore some 36mm watches that looked absolutely stunning on my wrist - and I do not have small wrists! (7.75")

I saw, but did not try on any Ball watches - they sure look nice.
