Definitely all Chinese, I believe some of the names are old watch companies that are gone and the names are being used by the company that makes these watches.....almost all of these companies are owned by the same guy and made in the same place

A little more info for you....my old brain finally kicked in and remembered what i was trying to remember 10 minutes ago....

All of these brands/companies/names are owned by a company in Texas called Always At Market, the guy that owns it is John house, if you watched the old Shop At Home watch shows with Tim Temple he was a frequent guest.  These are mostly defunct watch companies that they have acquired the rights to use the names...hence when you look at the websites they will paint this story that makes it look like a 200 year old Swiss company...it is not.

That said, there is nothing wrong with that other than their inflated MSPRs...like I said in the OP i paid less than $75 for all of these and most less than $50...they are a great value at that price.

The term often used for these companies is "mushroom brand" because they pop up from no where and are quickly all over the place.

Impressive number of watches, Nickhand6.gif. Thanks for sharing your "little" secret with us on 3T. I spent a few minutes on all your watches and liked the last one best. Unique arrangement and very eye-catching.

Scot, good ones from you, too. ;)

I think by the next decade the Asian makes will get their acts together and will present decent quality watches offering good value.

Thanks for sharing.

nice history lesson there...I picked up a yellow dial SUG from an auction site several moons ago. I think I got it for about $49.00 and it's actually a nice piece, even though it doesnt get any wrist time anymore:(

Wow Nick what a nice collection.  I really love the 4th one from the top, the copper face, and the 2nd from the bottom with the brown face... I need to get something in brown or that copper look.hand6.gif
