the eta 2801 is a workhorse much like the Unitas 6497/98 and Peseaux 7001  and is used by Stowa,Jorg Schauer and many other reputable watch companies!....I have several in watches I own and they run "Swiss" :) ....I am not sure if Steinhart modified the 2801 in this model but it can be made to hack which to many is a big plus in a mechanical handwind movement hand6.gif

Congrats on a sweet Flieger Trent! yourock.gif

Trent, on the aesthetics side: I was at Anders' shop a few hours ago and stayed for about 2 hours. I saw the watch you are buying and it is a piece of work. It is beautiful with a great Ti hue....and the leather strap is something else, too.  ETA2801 is  workhorse and Oscar is absolutely right to use that term for the 2801.

You made the right choice, amigosnoopy1.gif

I have this movement in one of my three Ollech & Wajs (last on the right with regimental strap)

It's a reliable engine!! Great precision (+/- 7 secs/day)
