sorry but $700. usd is just ridiculous....especially from someone who joined 3T only to get the members pre-order discount and make 0 posts....then try to flip it for double ? face4.gif.

..sooner than later a post count will be going into effect on the specials and pre-order discounts offered by the vendors here on 3T because of greedy people like this...as I have said in the past I am not against any WIS making some profit on a watch that has garnered some kind of collectible status but again this is just ridiculous! mistake.gif

Can I ask a question? How do you know that he joined just to flip it to make profit?  sadly, I have been stalking TTT and WUS for years before joining and becoming a member.  I bought the very last Cuda from Ralf (#85) without a discount and THEN joined the 2 forums I was so pleased with myself. (but I have NO intention of flipping my cuda.) I am not defending that person, my only thing is, I have WAY less posts then he does, but it doesnt mean that I joined for discounts or for flipping watches, and I would NEVER want to be perceived as someone who would do that just because I have very little posts. Am I making sense at all?

Your right sir, and I been getting better, my only problem is that the forums and watches are like crack, well, what I imagine crack is like to an addict. Because make no mistake, I am an addict, and I could spend all day on here and never get anything done. So I ask again, where does one find a job that pays you to look at watches all day? Let me know and I am IN!

Ronin...I have no idea why you are taking such a defensive mode?....the seller of the watch in question has 0 posts on 3T but is on the members list...and let's just say I know a little bit more of what is going on at 3T than most.:D

just because someone joins a forum does not make them a member imo....posting and being active is what makes a forum and if we have guys coming over here and joining with no intention of posting and only taking advantage of what this forum has to offer along with it's vendors who generously offer up the opportunity to participate is designs,1st looks,pre-order pricing and discounts for 3T members than imho that is not fair to the many loyal, posting members who lose out because they may have not acted fast enough or were on the fence.hand6.gif

My bad Sir, the only defensiveness is that I dont want to be perceived as someone who joins the site just to take advantage of deals and offers, I am not upset or trying to be a jamoke. I wish I could put my laughing tone into written words. These were all in good sport, with a little bit of seriousness that I hope because of my little posts that someone would think me a shady grady. You are absolutely correct that I need to post more as If I decide to do some "horse trading" who will take me as a real person? And I didnt check to see how many posts that person posted on here, all I saw was his amount of posts on the other site. Again thats my bad that I didnt do proper research before I open my yap. mistake.gif
Point is I agree with you that there should be a certain amount of posts before any deals are offered, as long as I am grandfathered in! goofy
(again joking) But I agree with you all, and humbly offer an apology if my posts came across as defensive or whiny or anything.

OK then mistake.gif it appears I have opened a "can of worms"

First of all...as much as i like the Cuda I would never pay that much for it...just doing my public service to let people know there is one available and if you can get it for a good price...go for it.

Second...I agree 150% that we should institute a minimum post rule in order to take advantage of ANY special deals that are offered to the good members of 3T.  If, for example, Matt and Courtney of Irreantum want to extend a special offer outside of 3T they can do that on their website, it's not fair to them for a person with 2 posts on 3T to get the discount...if they wanted that they would offer it on their website.

So again, i agree that a minimum post rule should happen RIGHT NOW, as Mark said.

And hopefully someone can snag that Cuda for under $500 hand6.gifhand6.gif
