Since the last 10 years, more and more houses started to make them own movements. I think that it's the natural course of things... It will come a time when more and more will survive by investing them money in the "in-house" technology.
Breitling started with it's own movement and it's a great thing I think.
Still, houses like Technotime and Sellita can take over on the general movement market to keep the price low.
It was said that from 2010, ETA will stop selling movements blanks apparently, but still selling fully mounted movements to other houses. Who knows what will happen after that?
