I have posted this pilot on numerous occasions:![]() It is a Mercedes-Benz branded pilot style watch with a high grade Asian Unitas 6497 and sterile dial. I really love the watch, and I've had no complaints. The movement actually runs very well and keeps excellent time. It is also nicely decorated. ![]() ![]() Well, the itch started when I picked up a pristine high grade original Unitas recently, for very little money. I knew exactly what to do with it! Out came the Asian and in went the Unitas. ![]() Although not as nicely decorated, I think the finish on the Unitas looks fantastic. Lastly, the removed Asian movement. (I must say, this is one of the best I have seen) ![]() The exchange was effortless, bar the dial feet which I had to remove to fit the new movement. Hope you found this interesting! |

Well done Graham, I would have done the same, even if I have to say that I'm more and more impressed by Chinese MOVT. This Unitas clone looks just amazing! |
