Hello Everyone,

I work for RGM Watches in Lancaster, Pa. We are in full swing producing our 801 movement and I would like to know what you think of it. It is the first American-made movement in 35 years. Best, Ryan.

Thanks. I am going to try to take some shots of the process of building an 801 over the next few weeks so you can see our watchmakers in action. More to come.

Nice to see you at 3T, Ryan. The caliber 801 certainly looks beautiful. I'll tell you what... why don't you case it up and send it my way, and I'll be certain to give you plenty of detailed feedback!;)

Awesome!!

Kudos to you guys for bringing some pride back home. How far down does your production on this one go? Do you source movement parts from the Swiss folks & do some parts yourselves, then assemble in PA?

Do you plan to market the movement separately, or use only for your own production?

RGM watches are on my want list. This beautiful and cleverly done work of art of a movement is just one of the reasons that US watchmaking is returniing recognisable power in the industry.

Well done! I will be "watching" closely!

Ryan,

The 801 is a beauty and RGM is making some beautiful watches. I love my 151P and I can recommend any RGM piece as they are very well made and classy. Great value for your dollar.

Looks good, Ryan....but just my 0.02cents:

1) maybe just 5% of your customers will see this (unless you issue this on exhibition back) but maybe you could blue the screws some more to make the entire creation look more luxurious. also might be a good idea to deepen the beveling of the screw heads, all screw heads.

2) I have really bad eyes or maybe it's the reflection angle of your shot but I can't seem to find the +/- regulator where it should be.

:):):)

Beautiful movement. Is this an entirely new movement or is it based on one of the older Hamilton calibers?
