Which watch would you buy. Would you buy just one, or would you see how many you could get within the $2,000?

I would go with a used Doxa 1200 and a new Crux model of some kind. I might also look at the Moray 2 that blue dart dial is looking pretty sweet! my .02 worth...

I would try to get two...maybe a Glycine Airman SST and a Omega Aqua Terra (blue dial).

Might have to go used on one or both.

Maybe I'd buy a CX-4 to complement my CX-1 and another Dievas Aqua Luna in gray. There'd be some change left so I'd run off and get 2 or 3 leather straps.

I agree: I would go for an inhouse at this 2000 point. The flyback or rainbow Zenith is my grail...big_eyes.gif

I would like to add a Hammy to my collection so I would have to say the Hamilton Khaki Navy Frogman.  And, with the remainder, I would have to see and think about it.

I would certainly agree on the Aqua Terra. You can probably get one close to the $2K mark, lower on the used market. One of the best bang for that amount of bucks.
