Timex I wore in high school. I lost it and about twenty years later my Dad found it in high grass behind his garage, after all those years in the elements it still keeps on ticking!! Case and dial made in UK |

This Platinum hand wound Gruen was my Mother's watch my Father gave her in the 1950's. " Switzerland " is printed on the bottom of the dial. Last edited on Thu Sep 30th, 2010 01:31 pm by Birddogone |

I purchased this Swatch in Cordoba Spain in 1996. The watch I wore on my trip stopped working giving me an excuse to purchase this Swatch Chrono sponsored by the Centennial Olympic Games and the official time keeper |

This is my Rolex 16800 I sold my motorcycle to buy in the early 1980's. I wore it non stop for about 25 years ( I figured over 15,000 showers with it ). My bride sent it back to RUSA in NY 10 years ago to have it restored, not knowing then what I do now I had the original matt dial and hands replaced. Back then Rolex would not give you your old parts back. Don't wear it much anymore but would never get rid of it for sentimental reasons. |

Very cool. My first was a hand wound Mickey Mouse I'm having a hard time locating. I'm just wondering why you didn't put it all in one post? |

Hey Mark, Sorry about all the post, I could not figure out how to do muli pictures on just one. About the Timex, my Mother had it for years long after I'd forgotten about it. Probably 15 years or so ago she had it serviced and surprised me with it. I really like the way it ticks in Sloooow Motion. 16-18,000 ? Rod |

bigrustypig wrote: Thanks for sharing, Rod Hey Jeff, The Timex was on a ribbon band and is very very faded from being out doors for so long. One thing about the Submariner I didn't mention.......Years ago I was a huge Magnum PI fan. Selleck wore a Rolex in the series I thought was a Submariner so.....that's what I bought. Then one episode had close up shots of his watch when he was stranded in the ocean it wasn't a Sub, it was a GMT Master!! ![]() |
