Thanks for this, John. Very interesting and yes, the Southern Cross or Crux is in our flag. When I used to do lots of nightime fishing many years ago in tropical seas, we would always gaze at the Southern Cross for some sort of crude navigation. When the Small Dipper's handle points south, it's dawn and time to go home.  |
