Since my Rolex Submariner was recently stolen, I am in the market for a new watch; however, I have decided to put a $1000.00 limit on the price of this watch.  I would love some suggestions on nice watch that would fill the void of my Rolex but at a lower price point.  Thanks, Tim.ThumbsUp02.gif

Two of my favorite affordable sub homage's, if that is what you are looking for, are:

1) Steinhart Vintage Red

and

2) MKII LRRP Milsub

I don't mind if it is a homage as long as it is a very good quality watch in it's own regard. I loved my Rolex Two toned submariner but did not like the attention it got!, Nor did I like the fact that it never kept good time for a $9000 watch! LOL.   If I ever buy another, it will be the black SS Submariner or a good Panerai. I have a nice local built homage to the Panerai Fiddy with a Swiss Unitas 6497 that I really enjoy. It has a black sterile dial...happy guy.gif  I have already considered the Debaufre Ocean 1 with green bezel but I have a mint condition Trident with SS bracelet and the rubber strap.  Currently have it on the rubber as it is very heavy on the bracelet.  So, I am not sure I want another Debaufre at this time.  Thanks for all the suggestions!

I don't think you need to go any further than right here on 3T...Benarus has the MorayII and the Remora getting ready for release using the new high beat, hacking Miyota 9015...Bali Ha'i is ready soon with the new GMT/eta 2893 in several models which are awesome...Orsa Sea Viper with eta 2824 is a sweet deal unders $600....Irreantum has some Magellans left with eta 2824 and a sweet price and the CRUX at $595. with eta 2824 is amazing imho and lately I've been wearing the new Dievas Voyageur GMT/with top grade ,decorated eta 2893 and the new scratch proof 6Steel...always something popping around here and all under your price range.ThumbsUp02.gif

+1 to Oscar's post. All you need is here on 3T. All the brands that O mentioned are truly good choices. That Baliha'i is a remarkable one.

Tim, at the price point you mentioned, I can also recommend the Dievas Aqua Luna in either steel or PVD and in either gray or blue dial. Like I said on an earlier post, this line is built like a tank. Note I don't work for Gnomon nor represent the Dievas brand but I have 3 Aqua Lunas....they're really built to last.

I think it is a great design, but why didn't they match the colour of the hands and markers?  Sorry, just me.....

if you can go just above 1k, you can find preloved Anonimo Millimetris pretty frequently for right around 1k. I own 2 other Anonimos and love them very much.

I have this limited sub from Epos myself. There was made only 222 pieces for the Asian market. I had it for a year or so and I'm very pleased. It's a 44mm housing a 2824.2 with a different twist inspired from the Millgauss. Still a guy on the Bay who sell it...
It's a great watch for the buks.

Tim, are you looking for a new piece or pre-owned? As you are aware going pre-owned opens up a whole lot of options.

Any mint condition or near mint would be fine as well. Cheers, Tim.

As Oscar said, there're a lot of great choices in your price range here at 3T, but I'd also like to second the recommendation on the Anonimo. Having owned a Millimetre, I can honestly say that it is simply an outstanding watch. Sorry to hear about your sub and Good Luck in your search.

The search has ended.  I have decided upon two fine pieces that I believe that I will enjoy.  Thanks to all here at 3T for all the advice and wisdom.  This little endeavor has not only resulted in my acquisition of two fine timepieces but it has also opened my eyes to many new possibilities!  Again, Thanks to All here at 3T!  I am now awaiting the arrival of a new orange and black Orsa Sea Viper and a EPOS 3396 Limited Edition Submariner.

I really, really did absolutely love my Rolex Submariner!!!  However, after being robbed at gunpoint for ones cash, jewelry, and his prized Rolex, I may never own another.  I know that some will say, sure buy another and lock it away in a safety box, but I refuse to buy a watch that I can not enjoy wearing!
That's just me ThumbsUp02.gif  Worst of all, my daughter's life was threatened just because of my nice watch!  That, I guarantee you will never happen again!  Thanks for all the help, Tim.

That's sad Tim. Where I live, I could cross the all town 10 times at night with 10 gold Daytonas on each arm without beeing robbed. But I know the feeling of living in big cities where you must be on your toes at every moments. That's the thing: A thief see a Breguet on your wrist, he might even not react, he see a Rolex sub, he's pulling a gun.
The point with Rolex is that it's not anonym: Because Rolex used fortunes on advertising since they started in 1905, more than any other brand in the watch history.
Sometimes, you get very popular, sometimes you might even pay of your life for it.

Tim, I'm so glad nothing happened to you or your family, sadly you're really surprised because it's something that you don't live with, me, on the other hand live in a city where those types of crimes are really common and worst of all, the lowlifes don't just walk away, people here have been killed for much less... So in retrospect, thank the Lord that nothing happened to you...

You're going to live with that helpless feeling for some time to come but I do hope you pull through and can start enjoying watches again, that wonderful epos will certainly get you on track...awesome choice BTWbravo.gif.... Please do post lots of pics once you get them..thumbsup.gif
