Been years since I ordered a Seiko but the latest Asian version is awesome imo and at 48mm and a very cool domed crystal which added to the overall effect caught my atttention along with a reasonable price of $273./rubber-$299./bracelet and it's on the way...

...rubber strap model as seen on Yeomans Blog with real pics(Link) and below a stock pic of the bracelet version with red accents...

Nothing to fault!  I really like the hands, retro dial (6105?), and red ringed crown. Looks really business- like.

WOW it is an awesome looking Seiko diver another winner for sure.. the red hand red on the crown added to the cool bezel and indices sold me... too bad I can't handle a 48mm :(

Congrats Oscar, I am looking forward to seeing your pics and impresions!!

That is a good looking piece... but

it may not be as big as you might expect, the retail page that Oscar gave shows the size as;

Size: 48mm with crown

It also shows the SRP043K1 as;

Size: 45mm / 50mm with crown

TY Greg, you are probably right...there are side by side pics from a WIS who already received his on another forum with a Monster and this new 1 is larger...maybe not 48mm but by the looks 45mm....I'll find out and in the meantime maybe someone will post the size...48mm would be cool though!ThumbsUp02.gif

Very cool new Seiko!!...I like this one a lot in all the various color options available, and the "real-world" pics really show off the nice design and finish of the case on this one... a no brainer good value IMO!thumbsup.gif

Looks like another winner from Seiko...I agree with the comments that the 48mm dimension is likely crown included.  That comparison shot on the other forum showing it next to a Black Monster indicates it is in the sweet spot for size at probably 44-45mm (not including crown).

Thanks for posting this one!

Not my pics...but what the heck....Seiko sure makes manufacturing a great looking watch (with excellent quality), at a reasonable price look easy!!thumbsup.gif

Comparison shot with the Sumo...

seems like the same review posted over and over with no mention of what size it really is...even the few WIS who already have one aren't saying any different than the 48mm in the description or just haven't been asked...anyone find anything to the contrary...the comparison pics don't look like it's 48mm?

Yes, I saw the same as Nick...but this is the absolute ONLY place I've seen any dimensional info...

This is the info from the link that Nick posted above:

Diameter of bezel: 42.5mm
Diameter including crown: 46mm
Thickness: 13.5mm
Lug width: 22mm

One thing of note...In the comparison shots I've seen (see below) with the new SKZ323,325,327 and the Seiko Monster, it looks like the dial diameter is larger relative to the thinner bezel, but if you assume that the two watches in the pic below are fairly close to the same camera plane, then the 42.5mm diameter for the bezel diameter is likely very close to reality.

Again...not my pics

Looks good on a Zulu too!!!thumbsup.gif

I saw the post at the airport lounge this morning and was intrigued by the profile. In the plane, I kept thinking about it. When I landed in Singapore, I hunted it down and of the 4 ADs I went to, none have heard of it nor seen it yet. I'm on the waiting list, obviously.

The watch seems to me like a 42mm and 45mm with crown. The watches88 site erred. It said "Made in Japan" but the model's serial number denotes it is NOT made in Japan. All 7S36 lines with that serial number are made outside Japan nowadays.

Like Graham, I like the retro look and the hands plus the red crown ring accent is similar to the Frankenmonster series. In Asia I can shoot this down for about half the CONUS price. Too bad guysmini me.gifmini me.gifmini me.gif.

If I can get this, I'll fit it with a rubber waffle. The lug width of this is a 22mm. The side-by-side picture with the BM proves it is 22mm because the BM is a lug width of 20mm.

I'll be flying out of Singapore tomorrow to another Asian country so I can still hunt this down. anodie.gif

mine will arrive on Tues. and btw watches88 service is super fast and excellent on all levels so far!....they are located in Malaysia and were the 1st selling this model so Jeff I would guess that is your starting point in your search....I have only seen that this model was made for the Asian market and not exactly where it was made...either way when mine arrives I will take measurements to add with the pics...ThumbsUp02.gif

I like these, but I took liberty to mix up the bezels to my liking. The watches are not mine, but hope to pick one up and mod it this way. haha.
Enjoy.

These have been modified and are not stock. ;-)

just landed minutes ago...a quick pic before it gets dark here and more to follow in New Arrivals tomorrow...size wise it is 42.5mm at the bezel and the case is close enough to call it 44mm from the 3-9 position...it has a sweet case that is reminiscent of Seiko past...the case design is very cool especially from the curved side view which looks close to the new 10th anniv. Doxa 4000T imo!ThumbsUp02.gif

Looks great Oscar!!!!...I see alot of the Seiko MM300 in the side view on this one...what a great looking new design from Seiko and a huge, no-brainer value too!!!   Thumbsup3.gif

I continue to be amazed at how Seiko makes manufacturing a well designed, super-well-built timepiece look so incredibly easy!

Hmmm...for me it is only a matter of time...very nice!!!

I haven't heard of a orange dial version but have seen the PVD and Gold plated versions...which had I known were coming I would have opted for the Gold version which is pretty cool and unusual imo...ThumbsUp02.gif

The black dial with white hands is on my list. Had a small setback (bought a TAG F1 Grande Date). Hope to see the orange dial surface.
