Needed one more trip before the end of the year to maintain my Platinum status so decided to get out of the snow and flew down to Florida this morning. So I see this cool watch in an add I've never seen before in the Delta Magazine, Bozeman, it was briefly discussed on 3T several years ago but thought I would start a new thread. Very, very cool designs,really like what they have to offer....my problem is the pricing seems to be kind of high for what you are getting. I know this is another thread talking about price, and I'm not saying they are not worth it, just wondering what everyone else thinks. http://Www.bozemanwatch.com |

For a series of watches with stainless steel cases, ETA movements and unspecified luminescent material (one of the watches talked about using "super luminscent" - really?) I think these watches are attractive, but tremendously over-priced. I see that all their movements are COSC certified, but so what? I can get a limited edition Omega Moon-Speedy for hundreds of dollars less than these watches. I'll pass. |

Them glamorous speach remember me a bit about the Sonbol...TIRING. Another "rich investor" who decided to waste his time on ultra overpriced watch-business: Selling romantism to the people of Montana and a bit of "?heritage?" to the rich American dreamer.  Them cases and parts? Nothing about them origins I could read... I guess: China, because if it was USA, Christopher Wardle(The Glamorous Cowboy from Montana) would have written at list 2 pages about it. He says that he designs in the US, but nothing is said about WHERE concretly the parts are manufactured. He's just constantly "commited" to get it manufactured the best way possible...Blablabla... We want to hear and see about YOUR workshops and manufacture in the US Mr Wradle!!! I guess that he consulted a lawyer to write this nicely twisted page:http://www.bozemanwatch.com/vision.asp Add a COSC Valgrange to those mysterious case/dial/hands and it would cost at the production maybe... Let's be generous: 350$ a piece. At list Sonbol is much cheaper, maybe because he uses Miyota movements and he's not riding the hills of Montana   |

To say that these appear overpriced is an insult to overpriced watches. I was shocked at the msrp. They were about 5x more than what I was expecting. People argue about Bremont, but at least they back up the prices with perceived value...the Bozeman not so much. I had to laugh at the copy on the web site. They try to make Josh Beckett sound like Babe Ruth. Who gives a crap about that guy? Spend $8K for his LE? I don't think so. |

I still find the "US manufacture" fact kind of obscure and without any strong fact. So, even it's made to 100 pieces and therefor push the price up: We know real manufactures in Europe who produce maybe even less and still are cheaper. What's up with the HEAVY prices for the "Made in USA" watch with Valgranges or ETA movements??: This, I don't get it! Is the level of life in the USA SO high? Higher than the Swiss or German one? I pay 2 US$ for a liter of milk here in Norway: Yes, a 1/4 of gallon for 2 buks. I pay 2 US$ for a liter of gas and 4 US$ for a half-liter of usual beer(or 1/8 of gallon)... Does it mean that a watch "Made in Norway" should cost 8-10000$ at list? This guy is selling some flag and using the fact that there's so few watch "manufactures" in USA. At list RGM makes it's own movements when they ask for the big buks. Somes are buying Bozeman and so what? Well, good for them but I say: There's rich fools everywhere since the beginning of times. |

In my opinion, the watches have too much detail on the dials. Reminds me of something else. Sheriff Will, you're tempting me to flash my Sonbol Papyrum which has appreciated 112.87% since you and I posted it  |

On these Montana Watches, the use of precious metals on the cases and the exquisite engraving and inlay work make it easier to justify their prices - even if they are using industry-standard ETA movements. Those Bozeman watches, on the other hand, don't justify their incredibly high prices to me. Too bad - in the $750 - $1,500 dollar range (where IMHO they belong...) they would offer a lot of value. |

Seems like Bozeman who's so "obsessed" by exclusivity, founds it's master in his very own Montana...Very nice handcraft from MWC in fact Oscar! I like the 1800 western style. At list, MWC kind of justifie it's high prices as you say Nighthawk. On another way: Bozeman is totally falling into the ridiculous with it's enormous prices.
