so i got my new 312 a week and a half or so ago and thought that i would do a quick test to see whether the movement truly would yield the 3 day power reserve and also how accurate it would be....

that said i fully wound it, set it to a clock on my computer and put it back in the watchbox.....happy to say the PAM 3 day movement gave me 3 days and 5 hours before finally coming to a stop.....

the more ridiculous thing is that after 48 hours it was actually +/- 0 seconds.......

to say i am impressed is an understatement!

Excellent! About the fact that it last 3 days, I would say that it's all normal as Panerai would never have called it a "3 days reserve movement" if it would have fail to last as long as that.
Going over 24 hours the usual 2 days of reserve is not a great horological achievement for Panerai.
But the 5 hours bonus shows that Panerai doesn't do things half-way.
For the precision: This is not something who is due with the watch, as a COSC standard would have please any customer.
So there, I take my hat off for Panerai and the in-house movement!

It's a magnificent watch without being too sophisticated in the appearance: A great piece who will never age and certainly retain greatly it's value in the years coming.
Congratulations well deserved amigo!

thx...I am super pleased since their in house movements are not COSC.....This is the most accurate watch i own...Awesome! Also i love the appearance such that to an unsuspecting person they might not give it a second thought but to a watch guy, they get it......They get whats under the hood etc..
