Heard this from another forum, so I went down to my local Jared's-couldnt have happened to a better store. Bunch of DB's anyways.
Oddly I was told that Rolex pulled AD status from 150 stores last week. Any idea what others maybe?

Rolex is pulling their license my local Jareds told me today, yes they r having a huge sale 10-40% off-but not there sports models,so NO Sub C's,LV's,or the new GMT sub. price on a GMT IIC is more than msrp

Mostly prices cut down to DJ's,turn-o-graph,presidents,OLDER models so to speak. My Jareds had an empty showcase for the most part.
Rolex is keeping their line to small boutiques/stores & Asia for the most part. Asia consumes more then 1/2 of Rolex's sales. Can you believe that shyt.

I was in my local Jared a few weeks back with my wife while she got her wedding ring cleaned & noticed the Rolex counter didn't have quite as many watches as they normally did, was wondering what was up with that. Looked like they hadn't stocked up in a while.

I bought my wife a Levian pendant from there a couple years ago with my sons birth stone and some diamonds. Every since then, the lady that helped me calls me every time they do a Levian show.

Since I had a account with them they would size all my watches for free. It was so convenient because it was close to my sons day care. She called last week and left me a voice mall stating what's being said here. That Rolex is pulling out of their stores. She also said they owned their inventory and were slashing prices. I wasn't interested, so I never called or stopped by to inquire.

Richemont Group has been planning on opening Rolex boutiques for some time,so it's no surprise that some retail chains like Jareds won't be getting anymore Rolex watches.
....the same thing happened when Swatch Group started opening Omega boutiques around the states...something Nick Hayek Jr. said he had to do,in order to save the Omega image, and boost sales in the U.S....Nick Hayek Jr.'s interview in June/Watch Time did not paint a nice story of why he felt sales of Swiss watches slumped over the past few years in America, one such reason was that sales staff had little knowledge of the product...that could have been changed easily imho,by stores hiring a WIS instead of a clerk!
....personally I viewed Jareds as nothing more than a mall store, outside of the mall,so I am not surprised at the move by Rolex.I also look forward to seeing the Rolex boutiques.

Precisely....so who gives a rip? I would never have used the term AD and Jared's in the same breath. I nearly bought a Seamaster when Omega was pulling out the and they slashed prices (well normalized) and they couldn't produce the proper papers for the watch. They were going to give me the set for a Speedmaster!mistake.gif

Seamaster...Speedmaster....what's the dif?toon1.gif

I can't stand Jareds, their staff has no clue about watches & they r rude DB's.

The reason I posted this thread is they r slashing the inventory they do have which is little to none, but the prices r great.

Agree Oscar...Last time I went to a Rolex/Breitling AD in Tromsø(Maybe the world northernmost Rolex AD??) , the guy told me that he had stopped to retail Omega since they was using ETA based movements in the same time that he was showing me his Breitlingssubtlelaugh.gif

Seamaster...Speedmaster....what's the dif?toon1.gif
Yeah Mark, both are Masters anyway and one Master can Speed on the Sea as well as the Sea can Speed a Master...Huh... When he surfs??

Info from another forum is that 120 ADs were cut off. Maybe Oscar is right about the Richemont Group. So far here in Asia, haven't heard about ADs being cut off....yet.
