But the dial reads Swiss Made, it must be a mis-print it should have read "Swiss Assemble". plus this is the Invicta Reserve (e.g., elite watches, like Lexus to Toyota or Grand Seiko to Seiko") something like that. WTF! What next "Invicta's Grand Reserved "?

Thanks goodness Jim Skeleton wasn't involved in the design process, if he was the SubAqua Noma I, would have been renamed SubAqua no-more I, that watch would have been in a million pieces..dog smile.gifdog smile.gifsubtlelaugh.gif

IMO this brand is out to suck you dry, wake up fellow wis it's just not worth the brain damage save your money and purchase a real watch (e.g., like Rolex or some of the proven micro brands like Benarus or Armida etc,) JMO!. mistake.gif

So soon the 60% Swissness law will fall, Invicta will be truthful to itself: A Chinese made watch company with not Swiss credit but the movement. chickendance.gif

unfortunately 60% is not much better than the old 51% rule,so once again the Swiss Government ruled to keep the non Swiss watch companies, and back room assemblers in business...no change imho...today most Swiss Made only means Swiss Assembled!no.gif

I correct my note Oscar: The 60% of Swissness would be the minimum implemented over the whole Swiss industry: Higher percentage rates could then be claimed further.
From there, the federation of Swiss watch industry will ask 80% of Swissness on the mechanical watches. The quartz watches would hold on 60%.
This is a firm project the FH(Fed.S.W.Ind.) has and they intend to push it through over time.
As said earlier in another thread, I had the personal confirmation from MrPasche who's the president of the federation of the Swiss watch industry.
I asked him precisions on my WIS behalf and the forum: The mail is in French so I didn't feel the need to copy it here...
It is not won yet as the second parliament chamber has to pronounce itself on the matter but if it's implemented out through, the 80% law will be the guillotine for many in the watch industry. Invicta among others first hand...

I believe it is all a pipe dream Will...same thing happened in 07' with no changes to the law...if they go to 80% many jobs will be lost and the Swiss Gov. will not let that happen...rergardless,there will always be those unscrupulous companies that will find a way around any ruling...the Swiss are as guilty as the Asians in abusing there own rules,it's all about money in the end...so what will be left if a 80% ruling does go into effect?...Made in Germany!subtlelaugh.gif

Originaly the Swissness project is mounted by the Swiss government to create 50,000 jobs by relocating export manufacturing into Switzerland... The whole thing isn't a Swiss watch industry protest: It's a politic protest against abused desentralisation of originaly Swiss-made products.
I believe in this new attempt. Why? Because the European financial crise is pushing this Asian withdrawn and promoting recreativity of work places in Switzerland as the luxury watch market is doing great.
