It's a quartz and I'm not much into that. But the work into the sapphire crystal discs and gears giving this transparent dial makes it interesting... The price reflect the difficult work on the dial: Here's them link and explanations. http://www.quinting-watches.com/index.php They seem to go from 4000$ and up: I bet they would be skyrocketing if someone would find a way to make them mechanical. If you are into mystery dials: That's the stuff to go for. On my side, for this price tag, I would go for something else. http://www.chrono24.com/en/quinting/mysterious-chronogrpah-qsl55--id2189321.htm |

Have to agree about the quartz thing, but the work that goes into it is amazing, the one's in the shop were around £14,000!! They also had, Rolex, Audemars, Corum and lots of other eye candy. |

It's a luxury watch for those who fancy mystery dials... I would say that a serious WIS will choose something else way in front of those. But if you have hills of money and get bored, you might enjoy people who ask you all night long how this watch works when you hang around cocktail parties ![]() |

The quartz movement does not bother me, I have no problem with high end quartz movements and would agree the execution of this movement would be considered high end. I'm just not a fan of the style, I don't think I would buy one of these watches even if the price was $750...just not my thing. |

Not a fan of quartz. But these 2 dials look like they were conceived in the '60s or '70s....they look good. Thanks for introducing the brand.![]() |

Yea those are cool. I recall the first time I became aware of them years ago when Tim Temple showed one I think on one of the watch shows. Been awhile back. |
