Hey guys, peace.gif

what's your planned purchases this year ?

Created your list (also the watches you have already bought this year or already preordered) !

And as a bonus, I have set a small survey. You must estimate how much watches buys her this year.

My list:

> SEIKO SBDC001 (already on my wrist)

> Vintage VDB 2014 (preordered)

> CREPAS L'E Ocean (preordered)

> Helberg CH6 (preordered)

> SEIKO SBDC007

> Raven Deep Tech

> Helberg CH1 (maybe)

> another ZIXEN (maybe)

> ZENTON E44 (maybe)

Come on guys, your turn ! thumbsup.gif

My wishlist for this year in no particular order:

* A Glycine Airman.
* Heuer Autavia.
* Armida A1 Bronze (with the ETA-mov).

* Hamilton Khaki Titanium (PVD version).

Great thread Phil!

You guys have some sweet ones on your radar for the year!

I've got EXACTLY (spooky) the same preorders as you in the queue Phil! thumbsup.gif plus one more...

Pre-orders:
Vintage VBD 2014
Crepas L'Ocean
Helberg CH6
MKII Project 300 (plankowner and don't know if it has any hope of being delivered in 2014...arrives when it arrives)

Already arrived in 2014:
Helberg CH1
Vintage VDB 2013
Vintage VDB 2011

On the radar for 2014, but I tend to get distracted easily bamby.gif ...so who knows
Maranez Bangla (probably going to try one soon...price is irresistable IMO)
Omega Speedy
Sinn U1 or U2
Tudor Pelagos and Heritage Chrono
Something from Aquadive??? (I like the new GMT)
Something from Rolex???
Something from JLC???
Something from Panerai???
Something from historic Anonimo (Professionale maybe)???
.....???
Can you tell that I lack focus this year? subtlelaugh.gif

The Project 300 was unknown until now for me.
Nice Omega homage.

Three watches already arrived - good start Chris ! cool.gif

I agree with you Chris, Maranez Bangla is a top offer.
Like the titanium case with cali dial.

But the rest of your "maybe list" are quite expensive !dog smile.gif

I think you will go your way ! subtlelaugh.gif

I dont mind the U1, but from looking at photos i found it easier to read the time off the U2. Probably has to do with the design of the hands.

How does it feel on the wrist?

The U2 feels great on my wrist. Really massive and well build.
Especially the clasp is really massive.

Great watch. The U2 SDR is my favorite version.

Love the new 'BATMAN' GMT...here is a picture of the HULK (which Jeff also has), next to the 'batman' gmt. Alot to like with both IMO!

Love the Blue/Black combination! thumbsup.gif

I suppose it depends on the historical Batman reference Phil.

The oldschool Batman is usually depicted black/blue while the modern Batman is all black as you say.

Looks like Rolex is going oldschool here! dog smile.gif

Is Rolex releasing a "stealth" version of one of its models? I remember seeing a photo of one with a all grey/black dial and indexes. Would fit the modern batman aka "The black knight".
homerthinks.gif

Found the photo... Dont know if its a prototype, fake or a real model. Looks cool though!

Nice stealthy Rolex Patrik.

But without the green lettering on the dial and with a black date wheel it would look better.

I agree, but if you Google "Rolex Stealth" you will find a whole series of photos of different models and versions.

This is why i was questioning if its fake, real or just prototypes.

If i would win a huge amount of money on the lottery , this type of Rolex would make my top ten list for 2014. As it is now, i will have to settle with 500-1000$ watches.

It seems like the only Blacked Out Rolex models that I have seen are not specifically linked with ROLEX in any way. All of these seem to be done by aftermarket companies not affiliated with Rolex.

I've seen companies that offer you the ability to customize it based on your existing Rolex, or buy one of their customized models based on a pre-owned Rolex as the starting point. Don't know if any of these aftermarket companies start with new Rolex's or not?

Some of the companies offering these pieces (some in PVD and some in the much more durable DLC)...Black-Out Concept, Titan Black, Blaken Watches, Swiss Wrist, International Watch Works, and I'm sure many, many others. Most of these companies seem to offer this on not just Rolex, but other luxury brands, and I'm sure some of these companies would provide this custom coating on any watch...not just those with super-premium price tags. My 2cents...

I agree with you guys...that Rolex GMT stealth above needs a black date wheel to finish the look.

Thanks for the explanation Chris!
ThumbsUp02.gif

Im not against modding watches that are cheaper. But when it comes to luxury brands i personally feel it should be done at their factory, and be inline with their high standards and quality control. Here i thought that finally Rolex has made a watch that speaks my language. (Hope im using the right words and dont come off sounding as a snob or a A-hole).

Also had to edit and add this link. Maybe i will have to eat my words from above. Looks really sweet.

It occurs to me after rereading this thread that I don't PLAN watch purchases. I usually just get smitten with something and then find a way to buy it or miss out. Hmmmm PLANNING a purchase....it's a novel concept I should look into. :)

My wife says the same.  But she has no knowledge of the list.dog smile.gifdog smile.gif

The Seiko SUN019 is new on my list.

I think a DOXA 1200T would be fine and the new Citizen Promaster for sure.

There is a pre-order for delivery on the SUN019 in circa 3 months, courtesy of AFT (arizona fine time). You save about 170USD on the RRP, but add shipping.
Good luck! And glad they reversed the "camel toe" at 12 for this one. It is a nice looking watch! 48mm of yummy goodness.
Just a heads up...
