Interesting sale on the Bremont Supermarine models at Gemnation (50% off, the small note being that they specifically don't include the Bremont box, but all models are noted as new).

Brings the price to $2699 (which is quite a bit cheaper than I've seen them sell for on the preowned market).

I don't know how long the sale will last, but thought some fellow WIS might want to know!

as much as I like to see these types of sales,I can't imagine how Bremont can let these watches go and be sold for half price with a vendor making profit...imho it dilutes the brands high end status,as well as pre-owned sales for those who purchased at full price...how much is this box worth?dog smile.gif

I agree with you Oscar on dilution of the brand, and I can think of at least a few brands that this has happened to.

Bremont is an extremly young brand (only having been around since 2002), but it seems like they have been pretty successful at establishing themselves as a premium luxury brand. Some of that is marketing, but much of it in my opinion is offering a truly premium product (both design and manufacturing method). I have, unfortunately, never experienced the brand in person but their designs and use of hardened case materials (2000 Hv on the Vickers hardness scale puts them ahead of about anything else out there), and puts them in a very competitive position IMO.

I find the whole "sold without the Bremont box" very strange indeed. Gemnation has offered select models at 20% off in the past, but not 50% as far as I've seen. Like you said, how much is the box worth? subtlelaugh.gif
