Here's a nice watch box from http://www.trias-uhren.de/artikel_detail.php?TID=dVDvhwEeLX5qRZz97fxR&artikel_IDN=1905

99 Euros and appears to be "Birdseye" Maple, but I'm not sure.  Anyone have ANY insight on this box?  THANKS

Looks laminated to me, that is just an opinion, do not know.  Try looking http://thewatchprince.com/category/b.wood.tahitian_collection.tahitian_factory_irregulars

I am hard on mine and wind up refinishing them all at one time or another, usually do to a house guest using them for a coaster.

Thank YOU, e.avery! ... I ordered one of the walnut ones!  I'll let you know what I think of it when it arrives! ... Best Regards!

Regardless of the wood, make sure you read the shipping charges for that site. They can be high to the U.S. depending on what you are looking for. Plus, you are gonna have currency charges, etc.

Looks pretty good.  I usually like them bigger, though.  I have over 50 watches to store.

My favorite boxes are no longer made.  Solid wood with a cherry finish, and pillows that fit my watches (7.75 inch wrist) snuggly. Wish I had bought a couple more when they were still available.

I got them from an Ebay store:
Fine Cases for Watch Display

I've purchased quite a few items from them with great results.

Already got another one from the same seller.  :D  Not as nice, but it works.  And it was cheaper.

Zeb, My family lived in Royal Oak and worked for Ford and Chrysler, probably a large place.  She still corrected me the other day when I said she lived in Detriot, "No, we lived in Royal Oak".

What kind do you collect?  I'm in the process of selling off everything in my collection except for Matchbox, which was the start of my collection.

It's only 2 miles to the city, but it makes a big difference.  Tell your mom that Royal Oak has become one of THE places to live in Metro Detroit.  There are at least 6 new condo complexes being built, in addition to 3 or 4 that are already finished.  Prices? $250k to $750k .  A nice 4-bedroom house off the main streets will fetch at least $300k.  It's crazy!  I'll be moving soon.  Can't afford to buy a house here.

Dan :)
