This company sells watch movements and if you order #CAT-M2006 (6th Edition Watch Movements) you will recieve a small, but useful listing with pics of several movement manufacturers from China-ETA to Seiko.

LINK: http://www.livesaysinc.com/

The catalog has pricing and you will find some of the movements you either own or are familiar with shown with interesting pricing. They offer volume discounts, so I would think that any wannabe watch maker could secure even better pricing if he could not source the movements directly.

It took so long to get the first 2 catalogs that when they showed up in my mailbox I literally had forgotten I had ordered them.

Also......................one of them was backordered. I think it was the Tools Catalog. So it took even longer for it to arrive.

Not to dissipate the enthusiasm, but the Movement Catalog is pretty small and for someone anticipating receiving a large, endless production of thousands of movements...................well you ain't gonna see that!

The interesting part for me was the range and variety and the simple fact that the first page of movements were actually Chinese ETA movements!

This is a smaller operation, looks like a family business, which is associated with other suppliers. Anyway, the catalogs were a nice addition to my WIS LIBRARY and the movement catalog did provide nice information and a source for movements REALLY cheap (price wise :D).

Carry on.
