Peseux 7001 movement

Any one own any watches with it or have any info on it?

This is why I am asking the used watches that David are selling at the bottom of the page. I own the Panama and recomend it. Has an engine turned bezel and is a limited edition with a 2824-2.

Hey! I have one! It is an Aviateur military watch. This movement is known to be more desired than ETA 2824 movts, and usually found in higher priced range watches. It is a FLAT movement and smaller diameter(not sure exactly by how many mm). Watches with this movt are usually 6-7mm thick ONLY! the brand NOMOS, most of their collection are using this movement.

I forgot to add, there are a few Pesseux movt, this 7001 is the one with second hand at 6 o'clock (6 Eater).

Oscar you should get one too! Cos the construction of the watch and movement of the Pesseux 7001 are very refined! Seriously I think it looks alot more $$$$ than what I paid for. JMO.:)

Kind of. I've got a Nomos Tangente Date. They use the 7001 as the base of their 'house' movement. I've had no issues or problems, and I'm sure Nomos wouldn't use it if it weren't consistently good.

I own the Panama too, and it's a damn fine watch; that's a real good price.
Also, check out #4: d.freemont 36mm dress Rockefeller Center
I have this with orange dial and gunmetal hands/indicies and it's high quality fit and finish with ETA 2824-- a little small for most, but I have small wrists.
I saw that Davosa Peseux couple of weeks ago and it is at a great price even used, but I've been eyeing the Stowa Antea KS that uses the same movement, and would prefer to put the money toward that. Also, the Peseaux is a small movement-- it can fit in a 35mm case, so it's going to look kind of tiny in that 38mm case.

Thanks for the Info. I have a small wrist also and realy like the Rockefeller watch. I have a few of David's designs and have had good service from them.

I have four d.freemonts (Ancyent Marinere, Panama, 100 Years of Flight, and the Rock. Ctr.) and they are incredible quality and value for the money-- any other company would charge twice as much for these watches. And the customer service is top notch. From what I've heard, other small companies that fall into this catagory are Stowa/Schauer and maybe RLT of England. That's why I'm definitely getting a Stowa soon. But first I need to pay off some recent purchases in the last couple of months. Let's see... the Sinn, the Meistersinger, that Nivrel (the german one, not the crap Italian one), the two Longines and vintage Rado (hey, they were 70% off-- what could I do?), that lot of 4 G-Shocks I won on da'Bay (why do they say "won" when you have to pay?), oh, and the two Mido that are on the way..... hmmm, this could take a while...

How do you like the BTP? I haven't read any first hand accounts of it.

Yes. I have one Maurice Lacroix, with peseux 7001, a delicate and elegant movement for dress watches. I think tha nomos uses this movement as well but rather modified.
