Here is a vintage ZENO BULLHEAD chronograph.  And here is an Aviateur BULLHEAD:   It makes me think HOW MANY watches and models did ZENO make for other brands??? |

Tony, Yes those are the best BULLHEADs I've seen with 3 subdials. Even the Breitling and Bulova Bullheads have only 2 subdials if I recall corretly. Btw, the ZENO and the Aviateur are both Valjoux 7750 17J automatic chronograph! WOW right?! Price is around $550-700 if you can find! Jacky the 7750 is a 25j movement, but those are the right configurations. Zeno has a large production facility that it must keep running. They produce the Zeno Watch Basel and the Zeno brands and as many other contracts that they can sign. If you ever get a chance to see a pic or just go there since you are not that far away, the factory is way to large to assemble just there own brands. I believe in the contract it would have consequences if you publicly stated that it was a Zeno produced piece. They have side stepped the issue in the past on watches that had Zeno markings on the rotors and the watch was some other brand, by saying they sold the movements to them. Which is legally true but they also produced the watch. |

I did read somewhere that the older Valjoux 7750 is with 17J though I know the new watches Valjoux is 25J. Maybe I am wrong about this? There is an ETA 2824 movement with 17j, but I have never heard of the Val 7750 with less than 25j.....but then, there are a lot of things I've never heard of!!! |

The older 775x movements were indeed 17j. I am not sure when the upgrade to 25 occured but even Ofrei occasionaly offers NOS 17j 775x movements. :D |

Sorry I have never made a watch with a 17J 7750, and I was always trying to get paid. I never saw this as a hobby until I joined a forum and I guess I still only really look at it as a business. I do not think I will ever be able to shake that. |
