Fellas,

I have a RLT 28 diver that I've had repeated problems with the mineral crystal and bezel and am at a point where I don't want to send it back to the watchmaker anymore. I contacted jack at IWW and he very kindly and quickly  replied and said that they aren't taking any new repairs till later  in the fall due to backlog.  I'm not a watch collector and despite all the problems with this watch it keeps reasonably good time and is comfortable. I don't have any other watch than a real beater so this one does dual duty at the office and fishing. I was hoping to get it looked at within the next month or so. I'm in the milwaukee Wisconsin area but am more than happy to send it off to a reputable repair center that you might suggest. Appreciate it. Here's a link to the watch if not familiar

appreciate any help

That RLT 28 is a nice watch. A watch to hold on to for sure. Just hold out for someone here at 3T should be able to direct you to some help in getting that beauty looked at. :)

I have the RLT 38 chrono. So know they are very good watches. Best of luck to you. ;)

Bill,

You might give Schwanke-Kasten a call. They've got a Breitling certified watchmaker that might be able to help on your RLT.

Good luck with it. Hope its not taking on water...

Has Roy given up??

Appreciate it guys........Schwanke is not far from me so I'll give them a try...thanks Paxman. Shortly after purchase I had condensation under the crystal and Roy was prompt in making it right. I haven't contacted him about these other issues. the shipping costs and hassle has me looking for other alternatives.

thanks again

Paxman,

just as a follow up......probably the worst customer service experience I think I ever had at Schwanke. Just getting the estimate was a nightmare.

Ya know I live right around the corner from that place and was going to pick up something for my wife when I picked up the watch.........if private primarily brick and mortar retailers are going to survive they have to distinquish themselves with service.

the search continues
