For me, Friday is already over (as far as work is concerned!). Something old was on the wrist today. It is an Elgin Swisstronic - a fab old thing that I reckon looks half decent on the mesh strap to which I "mated" it. Yes - for the eagle-eyed - date starts to change about an hour and a half before the midnight mark and it is an old shot! Cheers and thanks for the kind words mate! Would love to see yours if you can track it down!  This particular Elgin dates to February 1971 - so that was a very good guess! Similar in case design to the Omega Dynamics of the same era, too, but with an electronic movement and not the good 'un in the Omega. 41.5 across excl crown, and feels quite good on the wrist. I am liking these oval shaped watches that are wider than the are tall. I guess thats why I STILL lust after a 1200m Ploprof... I am NEARLY there.... if not for the damn tax bills...
