Starting out with the Bronze Moray this morning...this is what the patina looks like today.  REALLY liking how the bronze case is developing on this one.

Hey Chris...I think if you take this out for a stroll at the beach often enough, you'll be able to speed up the aging-to-a-unique-patina process. Might make sense when there's less snow up where you guys are. I love that watch, amigo. I'd score it a 10/10wowzer.gif

Thanks Jeff!...man, would I love to be giving this one a workout on the beach, as I agree, the salt-water, sand, and humidity would be a great environment for the bronze to mingle with.  Now, as you know there is not a beach within thousands of miles of here and all my beach time must be experienced by hopping on a plane, so what's a guy to do?

In the meantime (and I've done the egg process on it a few times to really get things going), I continue to rub my oily fingers all over this case every chance I get...I think it is working...and there is evidence of this on the back of the lugs since when it's on the wrist those areas get quite a bit of direct contact with the skin throughout the day.  Not much humidity in Colorado all year round...no doubt high humidity would help a bunch too!!!

thankyou.gif Chris. I'm glad it's back too! As nice as the bracelet is, it's just too much metal and takes away from the unique case lines/design IMHO
I like it on leather and rubber. This one is in great condition aside from a bezel exarch and black paint missing on two numbers.
Thanks

Thanks...  I had my Dievas Reaper on it, had it made for it...but like with cars, I can't just leave a working combination alone...gets boring for me...

Evening switchup to the 'other' Bronze (Helson Shark Diver)...tried to use the same egg process used on the Moray, and it just really didn't affect the case much at all (had me scratching my head as even very long times in the ziplock bag didn't affect the case patina much at all).

Finally achieved a result by smearing the hot egg yolk all over the case...I think the result looks pretty good!

After (now on a different strap):

William and Edward!!! Thanks guys!!!!thankyou.gif

I am so stoked on this Bronze...the initial "gold-like" look was fine (and doesn't necessarily look like a gold watch, but a little too much gold for me).

The deep patina is definitely what I'm after!!!wowzer.gif
