Sorry for being incommunicado yesterday. Locked in jury deliberations... not fun. Here's the Snowflake again. It's a Heleanarou I picked up used after discussing these with a WIS who had multiples with and w/o the date. This one has also had the bracelet brushed. I'll try to get up some pix and thoughts this weekend. I've blathered too much here already... (pet peeve are the "new arrival" posts which appear here... you know who you are...put up a real new arrival!)

Killer combo Brice! If I was brave enough or had a spear set of lug bars ($115 from your friends at Doxano.gif) I would try mine on for kicks!

That's really nice and masculine, Mark. It's a watch that's all business. Could you give me some vital stats like diameter, lug etc. Have been hearing about this brand lately. Thanks! (Were you wide awake at jury duty?)subtlelaugh.gif

Thanks, Trent! I might fit it with a black Isofrane diver although I'm awaiting Isofrane's release of a blue strap in 2 or 3 weeks.

I have been "off" watches for years...
I inherited a lot of beautiful pieces, almost all of which were stolen.
Got the fever again... I traded a Cartier minute repeater pocket watch for this...I never the pocket watch any more... This 5508 has NOS "service" parts, or it would have been out of my trading range...
I also looked at a lovely 6542. I like the 5508, it's a '62 production, same as me!
My mother always wore a Sub, and I've had them in the past... This one is a daily luxury I am very grateful for!

Thanks for the detail Edward!!!

That 5508 is gorgeous...my love.gif...and SO very cool to have the same production year as yourself...got to love that!  Very nice sentiment too knowing that your mother always wore a Sub.

A daily luxury to be very grateful for...for sure! thumbsup.gif

Thanks again for the detail Edward...and by all means, enjoy that one to the fullest!!!!
