This is not a mode, the case looks like a 6309 but is a little larger. The only think that is Seiko is the improved movement. This was a Noah Fuller creation .

how do you like that ted su strap BTW, was looking at them last week on his site? I think they look killer...is the clasp comfortable or no?

Thank you for the concern. It seems Charlotte is far enough from the coast that we'll be ok overall.
My team in jersey city though maybe impacted.
Praying for no caualties and as little damage as possible across the coast area impacted.

The clasp is definitely large and CAN get in the way of, say, shirt cuffs, but I find it to be just about the most comfortable strap I own for larger, heavier watches. The strap itself is very supple once it breaks in a bit and the clasp allows for infinite adjustments. It's a bit on the spendy side, but I absolutely love it. Ted Su is also an awesome person to deal with!
