Some time ago I watched a movie starring an American wrestler type chap (one of the movies where plot and thought were not high on the list of prioities) whose watch band miraculously unraveled into 50 metres of climbing rope - thus saving the day for all concerned. Sadly I believe this strap will be hard pressed to meet 13 feet of 5 mm paracord but I still think it is pretty cool. I also believe that the manufacturer makes a donation to a US Forces charity so there is a good cause in there too.

Wearing my s/s Daytona today with the custom made end links. This transforms the watch! I never liked the look with exposed gaps on leather before. Compared in this pic to the white gold model which has these links soldered onto the case, the diffrence is almost indistinguishable! It now allows the use of any 20mm strap.
