First attempt at a "home made" watch.

OK I bought the case, dial and hand set and utilised a Tissot ETA 2824 from an irreparably damaged watch and put it all together as a "learning experience" but I have truly caught the bug.

I did learn that the second hand is a fiddly little rascal though!

Need to adjust the date wheel at some point though but since I built it for my 14 year old lad I don't think he will notice.

Thanks for the encouragement. After finishing it I did spend the rest of the weekend surfing the 'net looking for "bits" (to raised eyebrows and barbed comments from "she who must be obeyed").
