Lookin' good gentlemen! thumbsup.gif I've been strongly tempted to order the recently available Ti Suppas as well and give them a spin versus the Walts.

Sea Snake for me today.

dog smile.gif...let's not get carried away there Will!  There is the gap with the Walts...some would say this makes the Zilla look even a bit more toolish, no?

One thing I've come to appreciate, with the nice perspective shots that you've posted, is that the Suppas definitely change the lines of the watch quite a bit...extending the wheelbase due to the longer lug-to-lug distance which I'm finding gives the whole combination a more balanced look that I'm liking alot (not to mention the fact that it's better integrated with no gap).  I'm thinking it may even wear a little more stable on the wrist due to the longer wheelbase and the way the suppa lugs curve downward around the wrist.

The "toolish" stuff is a bad excuse in my eyes: The Promaster 1000m is a well designed watch and if Citizen would have concieved lugs, they would have continue this way. Design is everything at the end.
The Walts are just a fast solution who was thought a practical way only: But everyone knows that you can't think only practical on a watch...
Or it look like hell and it's uncomfortable.
Bottom line is, that if Walt would have think it longer, he would have a quasi monopoly on the Zilla lugs.
Master says...Never rush an idea to conception.

So you're saying the Zilla is a well designed watch, except for the misconceived lugs?  (I'm assuming you dislike the watch on the OEM rubber).

I've enjoyed the Walts for sure, but I have ordered the blasted Ti Suppas and can't wait to give them a spin.  I really do think that they improve the overall design/lines of the Zilla.

The Zilla was conceived as a professional diver watch: The integrated rubber strap is made to avoid making the watch too large to bear and still have a big bezel for easy manipulation and wide dial for easy reading.
Because it cancel the lug to lug distance as the strap start from the watch case.
Also this absence of lugs + the rubber straps could avoid any damage to the neoprene suite...
Soon you will understand what I mean with those Suppas

I agree on all fronts Will.

...And the more I study the geometry and key design points of the Suppas, the more I feel certain that they will transform the fit on the wrist too.  (I placed my order for the Suppas about an hour and a half ago and have already received notification that they have shipped!!!) - got to thank Steve for that!thumbsup.gif
